Team Wave Sport kills it this year
Kelsey Thomson wins Canadian Nationals and Team Trials, Bryan Kirk and Haley Mills take the National Championships in the US and Tyler Curtis dominates the Nordic Championships of Scandinavia once again. This is what Tyler Curtis reports from Norway:
The 2010 season has been more than good for me. I have enjoyed international trips, coaching, competing, river explorations, and over 150 days on the water so far. Every year seems to get better and better.
A huge highlight to my summer was claiming the title of Nordic Champion in the 2010 Nordic Championships. Athletes from Norway, Sweden, and Finland took part in a freestyle event in Skjak Norway July 10-11 to showcase the best of the best in Scandinavian Freestyle. Big rides with scores of 900 points plus happened throughout the weekend and in the end I managed to claim the Nordic Champion Title for the second time.
My second victory took place at the Norwegian Championships August 14-15. This event was also our team selection for the 2011 World Championships in Plattling Germany next June.
Year after year I manage to surprise myself and continue to learn new tricks and grow a greater love for the sport of kayaking.
