Rider of the Year – WS athletes nominated

The Rider of the Year is a brand new concept of annual awards to simply showcase the incredible things that are done in our sport each year and to highlight the people doing them. The idea is that kayakers, photographers and films can be nominated for different categories on the Rider of the Year website, showing short video clips or photos of what they have been nominated for.

The respective categories are: Rider, Expedition, Photographer, Film of the year, as well as Best Trick, Drop, Line, Carnage and Downriver Freestyle of the year. All entries will be peer judged by a »large, eclectic group of the world’s top boaters… hardcore creekers, race winners, freestyle champs, explorers, legends, lesser known rippers and some of the next generation that will move this shit forward«, writes Patrick Camblin, initiator of the Rider of the Year awards. New entries for the contest will be accepted until mid of February and the awards will be announced soon after.
