What a weird summer! After the winter and spring drought, the two first weeks of July were terrible. We had lots of rain and it was even snowing in the Alps. Most people were feeling a bit depressed and were complaining about the weather but kayakers couldn’t be happier as all the rivers had come up.

After paddling my home river with really good water levels I got lucky enough to stop off at the wave in Lyon on my way to the slalom pre Olympic race in London.
