»Damming the Nile« premiere
Finally, after a long time I was able to finish my movie from Uganda. We’ve been there three times before, so this time I wanted to make a movie not just about kayaking. Kayaking on the Nile is an awesome experience but unfortunately this one of a kind opportunity will probably soon come to an end.
If the actual damming goes on like it does right now, the glorious rapids of the Nile will be destroyed in one or two years. Some of them have already disappeared, others have been changed irreversibly. So if you still think about going there, you need to hurry up in order not to miss it. We really love this river and we would like to show the world what will be lost.
I made this video from a kayaker’s point of view about damming the White Nile and its consequence to the people and the country. I don’t want to say that it would be bad to build a power station there, I just want to show what could happen afterwards.

So at November 10th we had a movie premiere in our local pub, the Paddler café. I am really glad that all of my friends liked this film. We had a small party afterwards and enjoyed it with our buddies and some beer. Now we are looking forward to present this movie during the biggest Slovakian outdoor film festival in spring. Check out the trailer for this movie:
See you,
Peter
